Summary in one sentence:

Your Instagram files never leave your device — the analysis runs entirely in your browser. We use Google Analytics to measure visits in aggregate, and nothing from your analysis content is sent anywhere.

What we collect

Nothing from your Instagram. No files, no usernames, no follower lists — none of it reaches us. The analysis happens entirely in your browser. We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they use. It records standard technical data: IP address (used for approximate city-level location), browser, device, pages visited, and aggregate usage events — for example, that an analysis completed, never its contents. We don't sell this data and don't tie it to your identity.

How your files are used

The JSON files you upload are read by JavaScript in your browser (via FileReader API). They are never transmitted to any server. When you close the tab, data is automatically discarded.

Local storage

Some data is saved in your own browser — never on our servers: • Profiles you marked as Reviewed • Analysis history, with aggregate numbers only (follower, following and mutual totals) — never usernames • The current analysis result, for the session • Usage preferences, such as dismissing the support banner • A license key, if you activate paid access You can erase all of it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Cookies and tracking

We don't use marketing pixels, advertising cookies or remarketing, and we don't sell data to anyone. We use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies (_ga) to tell new visitors from returning ones and measure site usage in aggregate. If you'd rather block them, any ad blocker or private browsing will do — the site works fine without them.

Affiliation with Instagram / Meta

This tool is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way connected to Instagram or Meta Platforms.

Security

Because your Instagram files are never transmitted anywhere, the risk of exposing that data is effectively zero. All analysis processing is client-side, in your browser.

Your rights (GDPR / LGPD)

Since we never receive any of your Instagram data, there's nothing to request deletion or portability for on that front — it never reaches us. For the browsing data collected by Google Analytics, you can block collection with an ad blocker or private browsing, use Google's official opt-out, or write to contato@unfollower.online to request deletion. That data is subject to Google Analytics' retention policy.
